MY POETRY
Words From The Soul
Welcome to my poetry page. Here, I share my thoughts, feelings, and experiences through verse. My aim is to offer you a new poem every few days.
I'm hoping you enjoy my poetry and are eager to return for more.
This is a collector of some of my poetry that I compiled into this manuscript in 1999 and titled it "As Clear As Black"
"CLEAR AS BLACK", is a play on the word black.
As a person of mixed decendancy and having lighter skin colour, I've been questioned over many years and by many people about my Aboriginality and my right to identity as a black woman.
To me and my many Aboriginal relatives, my Aboriginality is as clear as the light of day and there is no question about it.
Stay updated with new poems
I intend to add a new poem from "As Clear as Black" every few days. I hope you will revisit this page regularly to enjoy new poems as I post them. I look forward to continuing to share some of my life's journey through verse. Thank you in advance for your support and interest in my poetry.
